Do You Believe In Destiny
Do You Believe In Destiny!
What is destiny and do you believe? I accept that destiny is a thing between acceptable decisions and divine intervention. I firmly feel that God is in control and that His wish is for us to live life to the fullest and delight in it.
He is a gracious God who wishes the very best for us. He knew about you when you were in your mothers womb. There is an awesome purpose for all our lives - unquestionably and we have free will to choose. Isn't that a wondrous thing?
You will keep on guiding me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny -- Psalm 73:24
Since the onset of this world people have possessed the capacity to effect their own decisions. Certain choices were unsound, some were even harmful and some of them were advantageous. I feel that a considerable number of the things we witness in our world today are a result of peoples' personal decisions. This may appear disturbing and worrying, but consider all the good and positive things as well.
We have an awesome destiny and a fantastic future before us, if we simply believe that God does have a plan and destiny for us all. Individuals can effect change and be an enormous motivation for others. Make advantageous decisions and realize a magnificent destiny, preplanned before us!
I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart. . . -- Jeremiah 1:5
Why is it important is that we believe in destiny. We cannot do whatever our hearts desire or believe is right. If we construct our lives merely on current feelings our lives become appalling. Insomuch as certain days our emotions and feelings will be sky rocketing and we believe we can achieve anything. Then there are other days, that we are licking our wounds and walking the street and it's nearly impossible to look ourselves in the eyes!
These two very contrasting feelings will affect our thoughts causing two very contrasting decisions. Pay attention to emotions, and analyze all decisions and the consequences before proceeding! Then do what is well-balanced. You cannot hinge any relationship on purely emotions or feelings. I understand that feelings are an acceptable process. However, when we look at relationships we really should require more than just feelings. There is a difference between being in love and love itself. Being in love is a temporary thing, but literally loving somebody in spite of differences, even when everyday life sets in, is the lasting kind of love. This is not based on spur of the moment emotions, but on deep respect, affection and desire. Some believe it is OK to give up and find another partner if the feelings go away.
This is so regrettable and an enormous misunderstanding of the human mind. Don't take me wrong I love feelings and they are a remarkable thing, but if I just act on them and make my decisions "with" them I'll be setting myself up for real problems! I need to go beyond my emotions and feelings whenever I make decisions. If I go to an enormous shopping mall I will be tempted to purchase all sorts of things. At least the stores seek to affect my emotions at "that moment" while I am passing by the store. And maybe if I can't control that feeling, I will end up buying the whole mall and go bankrupt. To sum up the point, form your decisions with both your heart and mind.
Destiny is not a matter of chance, but a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, but a thing to be achieved. -- William Jennings Bryan
Our life is full of choices and our decision to believe in destiny is a choice! We possess the free will to build our life. The decisions we carry out could bear an impact on entire countries. What begins with a small thought can end up being our future.
As an example, people such as Bill Gates, George Washington, Martin Luther King, and the Pope had to carry out certain decisions to become who they are. I am not saying, to be like Bill Gates or become the Pope. Simply be yourself and live life to the fullest and be the "new" you!
Maybe your concerned about the future and considering your destiny. But my advice is to just take it easy. Read the Bible and pray. Travel somewhere, meet some people and make new friends but always remember to keep the good old ones. Just do something different and see the world from another point of view. Believe that God has a destiny for you.
Don't let television create your life, but let your life create television!-- Peter Haahr Hansen
People are not just influenced by their own decisions, friends, family and pets; but television is probably the source that impacts people the greatest. We live within a global culture where everyone seems to act the same! Cultures are becoming the same and the world is getting smaller (particularly the western world). Life's difficulties are the same no matter if you are in Europe or in the United States. We all listen to the same music, view the same movies, TV shows, and TV series and we almost eat the same types of food. At this moment, the whole world is beginning to globalize. I prefer the thought of a "global culture" but I can detect a inadequacy developing, and that is that the media is becoming sort of a role model for the younger generation. The media influences us and tells us how to live our lives. We all retain the choice to believe in our own destiny and not to be controlled by the media or others who can affect us in an undesirable way. Try and turn off the television and Internet connection just to see how addicted you have become!
Our destiny is worth far more than a stupid movie or Internet site! If you do believe in destiny & have the desire to become a history maker, then it's your choice.
